Every year, millions of families gather around fireplaces and front porches to snap moments of them smiling, giggling, grimacing in anticipation for the upcoming holiday season. Every family member previously shopped for matching outfits; some may have even lost a few pounds in preparation for their new year health resolutions. The resulting picture should ideally show how all the children have grown, how the parents have aged well, and how the family pet has sprouted a few grey hairs on its snout.

Then, comes the next step-- finding the perfect medium to showcase their proud family...the card.

What piece of cardstock will best display the picture? What type of design should I incorporate--traditional, or trendy? Should it fold open, be a long rectangle, a square, or even a trifold? These are all questions one may ask themself during this joyful, yet often stressful time of year.

This card may seem like a series of highly analyzed decisions. However, it may possibly be the easiest piece of this holiday card-giving puzzle.

Rather than scrolling through design after design on the Internet and having no tangible idea of what your card may actually look like once it's printed, stop by Event House, and we can help you find your perfect piece of stationery for this holiday season.

Whether you would like us to custom create you a card with multiple layers of cardstock, ribbon, and pizazz, or, if you prefer to choose one from our cherished Tag & Co. holiday catalog...your card is sure to make the Jones's mantel place this year!

Don't feel overwhelmed by holiday card giving this year. Let us make this American tradition one easy thing for you to check of your holiday "To-Do" list!

This prestigious awards ceremony honors excellence in the special events industry and the extraordinary efforts, performances, and contributions of Houston event industry professionals.

Along with hundreds of other companies, Event House applied for the Best Marketing/Invitation/Design/ Concept category. Their application described their dedication and creativity in designing the invitations, menus, place cards, escort cards, programs, thank-you cards, table numbers, save the dates, engagement party invitations, rehearsal dinner invitations, napkins, water bottles, and much more for one of their beloved brides from Northern California. Event House never met with the client in person. All of their work involved long distance phone calls and FedExed samples.

At the fabulously glamorous 2011 ISES Crystal Icon Awards Ceremony, the winners of each category were announced. Event House received the Best Marketing for an Invitation Design Concept! All their hard work and diligence paid off!

Often, we hear clients say, "It's just a tiny box that someone will throw away," or "a dinky girly item no one will even pick up." But, oh how these conceptions are so false.

A favor--a simple thank you to your guests--can literally tie the entire theme of your wedding together, or add something genius and elegant that pops, and is not too overstated in your wedding.

Want to add some sparkle, but not in your centerpieces...how about your favors? What to incorporate Christmas into your December wedding, but not too blatantly...how about a place card that subtly resembles an ornament? Love your tropical ambiance for your destination wedding in Puerto Rico, but don't want to overdo the the sand and orchid motifs...how about some bamboo-colored fans to cool off your guests during your ceremony? Love your glamorous jewel-toned blue, purple and green peacock colors, but don't want to bring in too many feathers..how about some gorgeous peacock rhinestone ornaments hanging from the branches of your flower arrangements?

Whether you want to completely emphasize your beach theme with place card holders in the shape of sailboats, and sand and seashells in your candles, or, simply accentuate your theme modestly...favors are are fabulous way to accomplish this.

As a lifestyle brand, Event House L-O-V-E-S putting the final touches on bride's weddings by packaging them with a perfect little bow, so to speak. What we mean is...a favor!! Don't worry about tying a million ribbons, or running to Kinko's to see if they can print on thank-you tags--we will do the work for you! We encourage all of our clients and brides to let us help you with that small, but highly important detail. Trust Event House, we can find the perfect favor for any bride's wedding!

Oh my goodness, Holy Mother of the Wedding World-- Anthropologie will open their very first wedding store, called B H L D N (pronounced as "beholden") on August 18 in our very own beloved Houston, Texas!!! This is Ba-na-nas (thank you Mrs. Rachel Zoe)!!

Some our favorite bold and brilliant jewel-toned bridesmaid dresses: Look 4 on the Website-- a sapphire dress fit for a whimsical Goddess. And, Look 1-- an Emerald vintage ensemble fit for a diva. We became inspired to pair these two looks with previous invitations E.H. created. We hope, and encourage all the brides-to-be to soak up some of our B H L D N muse!
